How
do I hire Woodlot?
The
process is simple and fast:
1)
Orders
up to $2,500 (micro-purchase threshold):
Develop a SOW, select
the contractor most appropriate for your needs, and have your contracts office
place the order directly with the contractor. 2)
Orders over $2,500 but
under $1,000,000 (maximum order threshold):
Develop a SOW, prepare a request for quotes (RFQ), have your contracts
office submit the RFQ via mail, fax or email to three GSA-approved
Environmental Services contractors, select the contractor whose quote
represents the best value, and have your contracts office place the order
directly with the chosen contractor. 3)
Orders over $1,000,000:
Same procedure as #2, but RFQs are submitted to more than three
GSA-approved Environmental Services contractor. Your
statement of work (a performance-based statement of work is preferred) should
outline, at a minimum, the work to be performed, location of work, period of performance, deliverable
schedule, applicable standards, acceptance criteria, and any special requirements (i.e., security
clearances, travel, special knowledge, etc.). You
may also review contractor information through the GSA Advantage
online service:
.

Should
I consider a Blanket Purchase Agreement with Woodlot?
A GSA Schedule blanket purchase agreement (BPA) is an excellent way for agencies to fulfill recurring
needs quickly and cost effectively. When establishing a BPA the customer must follow the ordering procedures
described above, specifying in the RFQ that a BPA will be
established. Once this selection process is completed and the BPA is established, orders are simply placed
with the contractor against the BPA - no further documentation or justification is required.
Setting up a BPA takes advantage of quantity discounts,
saves administrative time, and reduces paperwork. Other advantages of using blanket purchase agreements
include:
-
A fair and reasonable pricing determination has already been
established,
-
The requirement for competition has already been
established, and
-
The contractual terms and conditions have already been
established.
In the past, individual orders under a BPA could not exceed the maximum order limitation. Today, that is no longer the case. With the removal of the maximum order limitation, agencies are no longer restricted by any dollar limitations when placing orders under a BPA.
For more information about establishing a blank
purchase agreement with Woodlot, email George
Kendrick or call (207) 729-1199.
